HI

The one and only Honolulu, HI.
My mom and I flew the evening flight from LAX to HNL. The timing was awful. You can't sleep, because you're arriving at 10:30 pm, so for six hours, you watch tv, or read, but mostly sit uncomfortably. You also don't get tv for free anymore! So, mom and I bought DirectTV and watched movies until I couldn't stand it. We watched the very very end of the closing ceremony of the Summer Olympics 2012, "The Lucky One", part of Disney's "Chimpanzees", part of the "Hangover" (she didn't like that one as much), and then three back to back episodes of "NCIS". Thank you, United.
A carry-on for two weeks? I am really growing into a great packer. I found the greatest bag at Ross's. I love my newest Samsonite.
Home sweet, sweet home.

Talk about getting things done. In two days:
(I don't know if it's a good thing or utterly gross)
Ramen at Gomaichi
Shokudo Honey Toast
Saimin at Sekiya's
Shaved Ice at Wailoa Shave Ice
Paina at Mai Tai's
Homebar
Saimin at McDonald's
Cinnamon Honey Toast
Hang Ten stamp from Mai Tai's. Love that place.
"Appetizers" at Sekiya's. Miso butterfish, hash, veggie tempura, mac salad. They were all out of my favorite gobo.
Karai Saimin
It's regular saimin noodles that you pour a spicy sauce on. I've been eating a lot of noodles recently. When I was younger, I was told that eating noodles made you tall and skinny, like a noodle. It didn't happen for me, but I still love them.
Large Saimin with vegetables

Cousin Kimberly.
Waiola Shave Ice
Lilikoi, Li Hing Mui, and Lychee with Ice Cream.
The next time I go back, I'm going all out with the azuki beans and condensed milk.
YOLO.
Kaimana Beach.
When I was leaving, guess who was there? Jacob! My brother was bbq-ing and he said he knew he would see me there. He was right. My bum got super sunburnt. It's not the business.
I really don't think this is okay.
Only in Hawaii. And it's sooo good. I always want McDonald's saimin on the mainland. It never happens.
I babysat baby Copeland after her second day of pre-school and she fell asleep waiting for sushi! She was drooling too.
Two days in, and I already don't want to leave.

I've Got Mail.

I love getting mail! I hear that stops when real mail starts to come (bills), but for now, it's all goodies.
A wedding invitation and a box of snacks!

I am officially invited to the Knight's wedding! The invitation came in the mail, and it turned out perfectly. The color, printing and picture were just as they planned, and they planned it well. It'll be a lot harder to back out of it now.
One seat reserved, RSVP'ed for two.
AND a box from Charlene Lui! I'm going home next weekend, but she sent it anyway salivating a taste of what's to come.

I literally opened each one for a sample.

Char Lui,
You are solidifying your spot as a Lee Sister.
Thank you/Arigato/Mahalo/Kamsamnida/Gracias/Kob Kun Kaa
I can't wait to see what this semester has to bring. We're going on three years strong of roommate living.
Third times the charm, this'll be the best year yet!

U92 Summer Jam 2012

WE WON!!! I love winning drawings. There is so an anticipation for your name to be called, and once it is, it's amazing (even if they are just concert tickets that are still for sale). Everything is better when it's free though. Two days before the concert, U92 Utah's Beat had a drawing at Mark Miller Toyota. They drew names every ten minutes and Aaron's was the first they picked!!

I had to wait a while for my name to be called. New people kept coming and winning before me! But good things take time, and I finally got mine. I also won a shirt and a drawstring backpack by knowing where J. Cole was from (North Carolina).
We're even on their website! Yeah, our claim to fame.

The lucky ticket form and Booker.

Finally the day had come. J. Cole was in Utah, and it was on.
Best trax ride ever.
The concert was at the Gallivan Center in Salt Lake City, an outdoor amphitheater. There were two sections, the Party Pit and General Admission. We won GA tickets and the Party Pit was sold out. I did not expect so many people to be there. Luckily, we got the best spots we could get.
The sound quality is not very good, but you get the gist of it.
Nobody's Perfect

Workout
Man, the Tusieseina's have the longest legs. I had to basically jog to keep up with them trying to stalk out J. Cole.
We didn't find him.
