My sister has moved to the big city... Salt Lake City that is. It's pretty much a big deal.
Liz and her building.
On Friday, she came to Provo for a birthday dinner and picked me up from my apartment on her way back north. Being carless has its cons, no pros. That night we rented "Our Idiot Brother" from Blockbuster (yes, Blockbuster is still around) and watched it at her new home.
First, her home.
It's a super cute perfectly fitting two bed, one bath, complete with a front lawn and a chicken couple to scare the be-jeezus out of you. It's newly renovated and I hear good things about her landlord/owner/builder of the place. The closer is washer/dryer and a gas stove. A gas stove makes a world of difference.

Next, the movie. Semi-funny, sort of irritating, overall thumbs 3/4 up.
But the sandwich in the picture below is thumbs fully up. Liz found a Bahn Mi place in South Salt Lake, Oh Mai, on our way back from Ikea. Around 3 pm we treated ourselves to $4 baguettes of Honey Glazed Pork and Curry Chicken.
Four dollars well spent.
Four dollars well spent.
Of course, we came home to putz around all afternoon.
She cleaned while I read Rich Dad Poor Dad.
This book just might change my life.
Around eight we got dinner at Naked Fish, another thumbs up.
Our Menu:
Liz's literally one nigiri of hamachi
Agedashi Tofu
Tengu Roll: Shrimp Tempura Topped with Spicy Crab Salad, Tuna, Tobiko, Spicy Aioli & Tare
Hotategai- Seared Scallops with a Miso Oregano
Ginger Pork
I might just be the worst foodtographer, so here's a borrowed photo of our dessert.
Introducing the Cheesecake Factory's
Reese's Peanut Butter Chocolate Cake Cheesecake .
And yes, it is just as delicious as it sounds.
We devoured it while watching "What's Your Number?", which is also a 3/4 thumbs up, and online shopping for bridesmaids dresses (not an easy task).
Multi-tasking at it's finest.
Breakfast a The Park Cafe. We may have over ordered, but it was all delicious.
I got the Jazz omelette with a side of salsa, while Liz got the special Corned Beef, and we shared super short stack of blueberry pancake.
A super short stack is half a short stack, one pancake.
We had leftovers to say the least.
I basically just documented Liz with food everyday of the weekend. And it's still not over. We have dinner hot pot style with her friends from her MBA program tonight.
A run tomorrow morning will be required.
